World Cup 2024
Welcome to World Cup 2024!
We are pleased to inform you that Prison Island Malaga will participate in the next edition of the World Cup from Prison Island and you will be able to represent Spain In this tournament, competitors from various countries will measure their skills to show who is the real boss of the prison.
The requirements to be part of the World Cup are the following:
– Have a team made up of 3 people (you can have a temporary room but only 3 people participate per event)
– Have at least 15 years old.
– Having achieved qualification in the National Tournament from your corresponding country.
GAME FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
September 1-30 – National Qualifier (Prison Island Málaga)
All interested parties can sign up for the national qualifier, which will take place between September 1 and September 30.
To register, all you have to do is notify reception that you want to participate in the national qualifier.
The price of participation is the price of the 2-hour adult rate (26€) and includes:
– 2 games of 90 minutes of game – We will record your best score on the leaderboard.
– Merchandising – Event T-shirt + keychain (while supplies last)
The same team can participate in the national qualifier as many times as they want to improve their score, maintaining the 2×1 price (The merchandising is only included the first time you participate)
Each team can only have a maximum of 4 participants (3 competitors and 1 reserve) to be able to enjoy the participation offer. (On the day of the national tournament only 3 can participate)
Among the best scores of the National Qualifier, the places will be filled until the national tournament capacity is complete (10-12 teams max)
October 13 – Prison Island National Tournament (Prison Island Málaga) – FREE event for all qualifiers.
Teams invited for their good results and the teams with the best results in the national qualifier will compete live for their place in the Prison Island World Cup, which will be held in Malmö (Sweden) on November 9, 2024 – Participation in the tournament is free.
The second and third place teams will be reserve teams in case the winning team is unable to attend the event.
On October 13th, participants will be called between 9:00 and 9:30 and will be explained the rules of the game. The winning team will be the team that finishes the 90 minutes of play with the highest score.
Any team found to be in violation of the rules may be disqualified from the competition by Prison Island staff.
Prison Island Málaga will try to have all cells operational and functional. Any failure of a cell during the course of the tournament must be reported to the staff to try to solve it as soon as possible, but no compensation will be given with time or points to any team that has suffered any failure and it will be considered a misfortune of the live broadcast.
November 9 – World Cup Malmö 2024 (Prison Island Malmö Sweden) – FREE event for the national CHAMPION.
The winning team of the national tournament will compete against other national winners from other countries.
The Prison Island franchise and Prison Island Spain will finance, to the extent possible, the travel expenses (flights + accommodation) of the Spanish participants to the tournament.
We hope that the Spanish participants will achieve a good result in the final classification!
